The magnificient St. losephs Catholic Church, in Damar, Kansas stands as a spiritual beacon on the Kansas plains. This was the place of Ila Mae's baptism in 1940 and her parent's marriage, in 1932. Grandfathers Philisime Roy and Stanislas Morin, and great-grandfathers Leon Hebert and Jean-Archille Saindon, helped to construct this church, which began in 1912.
